What Forex Means

Forex is a decentralized market for currency exchange. Prices react to supply, demand, liquidity and macroeconomic expectations.

Currency Pairs

Every pair has a base currency and a quote currency. EUR/USD shows how many US dollars are quoted for one euro.

Bid, Ask and spread/">Spread

Bid is the selling price, ask is the buying price. The spread/">spread between both prices is a central cost factor.

Leverage and Margin

Leverage increases market exposure, while margin is the required collateral. Small price movements can have larger effects.
